Secretary for Transports and Public Works, Ao Man Long is to lead a delegation to Beijing tomorrow (22 May) for attending the 5th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo.
Mr. Ao was invited by the organizer of the Expo and will deliver a speech in the forum session. He was also scheduled for a meeting with leaders of the State during his visit.
The 5th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, which will open on 23, May, is organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Information Industry, State Intellectual Property Office and Municipal Government.
The theme for the Expo is "World Trade Organisation, Olympic Games, Innovation, Economic Growth". Among the participants are Delegations from international organizations, foreign Governments, enterprises and financial firms.
Various activities such as exhibition, forum and business meetings were scheduled in the Expo.
The Exhibition will features products and technologies in various field, such as Information technology, bioengineering, medicines, environmental protection, aviation and aeronautic, constructions, civil engineering, agriculture and others.
The MSAR delegation included of representatives from the Cabinet of the Secretary, Executive Council, Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre, Macao Foundation, University for Science and Technology, Macau Computer Association, MM Powerplus Busway, Ltd, Macau Association for Promotion of Science and Technologies and Macau Trade & Investment Promotion Institute.
