Severe tropical storm "Talim" is located about 500 kilometers southeast of Macao and is expected to move west-northwest slowly, generally towards the area between the west coast of Guangdong and Hainan Island.

It is expected that "Talim" will further strengthen and gradually approach the west coast of Guangdong, Macao will experience heavy rain and thunderstorms on the 16th, and the local winds will increase generally to a wind level scale of 6-7 in the evening, and thus the chance of issuing signal no.3 in the afternoon of the 16th is relatively high. According to the current predicted path, "Talim" will be closest to Macao between early morning and the morning of the 17th, passing by about 200 kilometers south of Macao, SMG will consider the possibility of issuing higher tropical cyclone signals depending on its development.
