With regard to this round of citywide NAT programme (9:00 am on 27 June to 6:00 pm on 28 June) that has ended, 652,544 people were sampled, 652,124 test results are available and tested negative. A cumulative total of 48 tubes of mixed samples have been tested positive. Results of 132 people are pending.

After investigation, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre has learned that Kuok Kim (Macao) Hygiene Testing Company Limited, which participates in this citywide NAT, has experienced mechanical failure and testing errors, resulting in test results of 22 tubes samples involving 132 people are still unavailable, and re-testing is underway.

The Centre deeply regrets the mistakes of the said company, and has instructed the company to carry out a comprehensive review and propose practical improvement measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again. In addition, the Centre apologizes to all residents for the delayed announcement of test results in the citywide NAT.
