The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated that the new coronavirus spreads rapidly. If you have visited the same venue as COVID-19 confirmed cases at almost the same time, you will be at risk of being infected. Residents can compare their own travel record with that of the COVID-19 confirmed cases by using the travel record risk check function of the Macau Health Code Mobile Application. If residents’ local travel history has overlapped with that of COVID-19 confirmed cases, the residents will be regarded as having a risk of infection. Their health code will be automatically converted to a yellow code (code 2) and they need to take the nucleic acid testing as required.

The Health Bureau has added the local travel history of some COVID-19 confirmed cases into the system. Residents can conduct automatic or manual risk checks through the Macau Health Code Application. In the event of having overlap of travel history, residents will receive an SMS notification for epidemic control issued by the Health Bureau and their Macao Health Code will be automatically converted to a yellow code (code 2) for a period of 4 days. Within 4 days, counting from the first day when the yellow code is set, the residents need to take 2 nucleic acid tests; the 2 tests need to be taken on different days. Relevant residents must make an appointment for the free nucleic acid testing in Macao by themselves. The link is: https://app.ssm.gov.mo/mandatoryrnatestbook, or they can take the test at general test stations at their own expense. The link is: https://eservice. ssm.gov.mo/rnatestbook/V21/.

Example: A resident's health code was set to a yellow code (code 2) due to a risky travel history on 1 July. The yellow code period is from 1 July to 4 July, during which two nucleic acid tests are required on different dates. Residents make an appointment for the testing by themselves, and the yellow code (code 2) will be lifted on 5 July after two negative nucleic acid testing results were obtained.
