The three-day mass nucleic acid testing will end at 3 p.m. tomorrow (28 September). The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre (hereinafter referred to as the Response Coordination Center) states that since the introduction of facilitation measure to provide on-site testing without an advance booking this morning, the testing work at each station has been carried out in an orderly manner.  There are not big queues of people waiting to receive the testing. The process is smooth. The Response Coordination Center thanks all Macao residents for their cooperation, staff members of various departments who participated in the mass nucleic acid testing plan, 2,500 medical staff from various medical institutions, 100 medical volunteers, and about 2,000 teaching staff and youth volunteers for the concerted effort they have made.

At present, there are sufficient places at each station. Residents who have not received the testing can go to the station to take the testing anytime without an advance booking. The Response Coordination Center once again appeals to residents to do the testing as soon as possible. Those who have made a booking for tomorrow are encouraged to find time to go to the station for testing within today, thus striving to finish the mass nucleic acid testing work as soon as possible.

In addition, in order to take care of people with reduced mobility in a home and the community, the Health Bureau and the Social Welfare Bureau organised “Nucleic Acid Testing Outreach Team of SAR Government" today (27 September) to provide nucleic acid testing to the elderly and the disabled who live in a home and who are difficult to move, as well as those who live in their own home and have difficulty moving.
