In order to respond to market demand on the prices of festive foods before Chinese New Year, the Consumer Council surveyed prices of 19 kinds of festive foods, including sweets, biscuits, noodles, instant bird's nest, essence of chicken energy drinks, and canned abalone, from 30 retail outlets in different areas of Macao on 29 January.
The latest specific price survey on festive foods is now available on the “Macao Price Information Platform” app for consumers’ reference.
Consumers may choose their desired festive foods under the “Specific Product Price” function on the app and check their retail prices at different spots and whether gifts are attached.

Retailers are called on to ensure that products are imported legally from suppliers with operating license, and pay attention to the quality and trademarks of the products in order to avoid affecting consumers’ health and rights.
Consumers are reminded to shop at reputable shops and check whether the trademark, package and information on the label are complete, and keep the receipt after shopping.
