The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (hereinafter referred to as the “DSEJ”) will continue to implement the “Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time” (hereinafter referred to as the “Central Registration”) in January 2021 and further optimise the arrangement of the timeline. If parents would like to learn more about the details of the Central Registration, they can attend the explanatory sessions to be held by the DSEJ in November and December.

The “Central Registration” for the academic year 2021/2022 will take place between 6^th and 20^th January, 2021. It is for children born between 2016 and 2018 and who will enrol in infant education in Macao for the first time. Parents have to fill in the basic information on the DSEJ website as well as upload a recent photograph of the child (ID photo format; showing full face, without wearing a hat). Besides, parents have to provide the necessary information requested by the school selected. After the completion of the online registration, schools will inform parents of the admission interview dates and time. After the interview period, schools will release the list of admitted students, and the DSEJ will publish them on the DSEJ website simultaneously. Parents of admitted students have to confirm the desired school to enrol their children on the DSEJ website within the designated period. To speed up the procedures regarding the release of admission list of waitlisted students, schools will also release the admission list of waitlisted students before the parents of admitted students register at schools in person. After selecting the desired school to enrol their child with careful consideration, parents have to bring the identification document of the child to the selected school in person to process registration/school transfer procedures within the designated period.

In the explanatory session on the “Central Registration”, the aforesaid timeline and specific arrangements will be introduced; the procedures of online registration will also be demonstrated. Please refer to the timetable below for the dates, time and other information of the explanatory sessions. The deadline for registration is one working day before each session. Parents are welcome to register for the explanatory sessions online on the DSEJ website at www.dsej.gov.mo.  Please note that the seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
