Typhoon Saudel located in the northern part of the South China Sea slightly intensified this morning and is continuously moving in a west-northwest direction generally toward Hainan Island. It is forecasted that Saudel will come closest to Macao during the latter part of today at a distance of about 500km from Macao. At the same time, Macao is currently under the influence of the northeast monsoon, and the northerlies are expected to strengthen today and tomorrow. The weather will be slightly cool with a few light rain patches. Slight flooding will occur in Inner Harbour area from 11 pm to 3 am due to astronomical tide. The public are advised to pay attention to the change in weather and the latest information from SMG.
