Severe tropical storm "Nangka" (2016) is gradually approaching Hainan Island. It is moving in a west-northwest direction and is expected to make landfall on Hainan Island in the early evening, and is starting to move away from Macao gradually. Although “Nangka” is at a distance of over 400 kilometers from Macao, under the accompanied effect of “Nangka” and the northeast monsoon, the wind in Macao will maintain in the afternoon, and the wind speed on the bridges, open areas, and high ground is expected to reach the threshold of typhoon warning signal No.8 occasionally.
