Accompanied by the Chief Executive, Edmund Ho Hau Wah, President Jiang Zemin visited today (December 20) the Hou Kong Secondary School, Ruins of St. Paul Church, Monte Fort (Fortress Hill) and the Macau Museum.
During his visit to the Hou Kong Secondary School, President Jiang pointed out that secondary school education was "an important foundation" for future professionals.
He also talked with teachers and students there and presented his hand-written scroll to the school.
Upon his arrival at the Ruins of St. Paul Church, President Jiang was greeted by some 100 residents and tourists. The president waved greeting to the awaiting crowd and talked to some of them.
Afterwards, President Jiang visited the Macau Museum located at the Monte Fort, and signed on the signature book.
Vice Premier Qian Qichen, Director of the General Political Department of the PLA, Member of the PRC Central Military Commission, Mr. Yu Yongbo/; Director of General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Mr. Wang Gang/; Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, State Council, Mr. Liao Hui also joined with President Jiang during above visits.
