General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of PRC Central Military Commission, Jiang Zemin arrived today, December 19 in Macau for a visit to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Macau Special Administrative Region, at the invitation of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government.

This is President Jiang's second visit to Macau as the state leader. The President was in the SAR on December 20 last year when he attended at the Handover Ceremony marking Macau¡¦s return to the Motherland.

President Jiang and Mrs. Jiang, accompanied by the Chief Executive, Mr. Edmund Ho Hau Wah and Mrs. Ho, waved greetings to those welcoming them at the airport. Mr. and Mrs. Jiang were also presented bouquets by two children.

Vice Premier, Mr. Qian Qichen and his wife Madam Zhou Hanqiong are among the delegation of the Central People¡¦s Government. Other members include:
