The 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games are being jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. The events will be staged in November and December.

The Macao Competition Zone will host all Table Tennis events of the 15th National Games, with participating athletes competing for a total of 10 gold medals.

The Macao Competition Zone will host not only Table Tennis matches, but also the 3x3 Basketball, 5x5 Basketball (Men's Under-18 Category), Volleyball (Women’s Adult Category), and Karate competitions of the 15th National Games. The city will additionally host Badminton competition events for the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games. Macao will also host a mass-participation event for Karate during the 15th National Games.

Operational testing for the Table Tennis events of the 15th National Games was held over the past weekend (14 and 15 June), at Zone A of the Macao East Asian Games Dome.

Technical representatives from the Chinese Table Tennis Association were invited for the test event to provide guidance. The test event followed formal competition procedures and requirements, in order to evaluate preparations for the 15th National Games.

Volunteers played an important support role during the test event.

Measures to guarantee food safety were implemented throughout the operational test.

The test event simulated a scenario where security personnel assists spectators with obstructed views during a match.

The Table Tennis operational test proceeded smoothly and was successfully completed.

On 21 and 22 June, operational test events for the 3x3 Basketball and Karate competitions will be held simultaneously to assess readiness to host multiple competitions taking place concurrently across different venues, thereby testing interdepartmental coordination ahead of the actual 15th National Games in November.
