Registration for the Seminar “Film Distribution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” is open

Co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Guangdong Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and Create Hong Kong, the seminar “Film Distribution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, part of the 2018 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Film Production Investment and Trade Fair, will be held on 5 September (Wednesday), at 2:30pm, at the Ballroom on the first floor of the Regency Art Hotel Macau. Online registration for the seminar is available from today until 3 September (Monday), at 5pm. Admission is free. All interested parties are welcome to participate.

The seminar, themed on exploring film distribution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, invited several speakers including the President of the Shanghai Talent Cinema Management Co., Ltd. from Mainland China, Zhao Jun, the founder of the 1220 Film Production Co., Ltd. from Macao, Chong Cho Kio, and the General Manager of film production and distribution of Universe International Financial Holdings Limited from Hong Kong, Alvin Lam, to discuss about the current opportunities and challenges of film distribution in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and explore how these regions can fully tap into their respective advantages to promote film distribution in the Greater Bay Area in a synergetic and complementary way.

The 2018 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Film Production Investment and Trade Fair is an event reserved only to film industry professionals, which will be held  on 4-5 September. A total of 23 film projects from the three regions will be presented, and the event will count with the participation of 70 investors. The Fair provides an exchange and cooperation platform for the film industry operators from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, with the aim of facilitating business matching and investment for small and medium size film projects to start production and seek development opportunities.

Interested parties are welcome to enroll through the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s “Activity Registration System” (www.icm.gov.mo/eform/event) on a first come, first served basis.
