Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and by the China Cultural Centre in Berlin, and co-organized by the Macao Designers Association, the “2017 Macau Good Design - Berlin Exhibition” opens on Friday, 17 November, at the China Cultural Centre in Berlin, Germany, counting on the presence of a delegation of representatives of IC.
‘Macau Good Design’ is an extension of the Macao exhibition at the “2016 Hong Kong-Macao Visual Arts Biennale”, previously showcased at the Beijing Minsheng Art Museum, the Gansu Dunhuang International Cultural Expo, and the Henan Art Museum in Zhengzhou. Holding exhibitions in different locations allows the audience in different places to deepen their understanding of Macao’s visual arts, motivating the development of the different art forms and promoting cultural exchanges between each place. This exhibition features graphic design, animation design and 3D mapping show, which mainly feature local elements from Macao, such as design and production of Macao’s products, award winning works in previous editions of the Macau Design Biennial, paintings depicting Macao by 19th century British painter George Chinnery as well as 3D mapping screening a total of 10 videos show, taking the audience on a fascinating journey.
The “2017 Macau Good Design - Berlin Exhibition” runs from 18 to 30 November at the China Cultural Centre in Berlin, offering the German audience a humanistic image of Macao presented from different angles.
