"The Rua do Campo Urban Redevelopment project will improve condition for economic growth in that zone," the Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Ao Man Long said today (5 May).
Mr. Long said that the Rua do Campo project was part of the redevelopment plan for the old town of Macao. He emphasized that authorities would first delineate and pave an exclusive zone for pedestrians in the Saint Lazarus Church area, taking into account the architectural characteristics of that zone.
He revealed the plan to re-arrange the traffic patterns and build more car parks, emphasising that these improvements would improve the conditions for retail businesses in that area.
Mr. Long said that the Tap Seac zone would also benefit from improvements in the traffic patterns, as well a new sport infrastructure name after Sir Robert Ho.
