Upon his return from Shanghai on Sunday, Chief Executive Edmund Ho asserted that the Casino Gaming Concession would be awarded using fair, open and just principles.

Mr. Ho said it was satisfying that the Macau Gaming Committee had received a total of 22 Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the Casino Gaming Concession. He said that the EOIs allowed the SAR government to gain a better understanding of the interested parties.

Mr. Ho added that the EOIs revealed that interested parties included enterprises from Macau, Hong Kong, East Asia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

He emphasized that the Casino Gaming Concession would be awarded using fair, open and just principles.

Besides, the SAR government was dedicated to creating a favourable environment in order to attract more foreign investors to Macau.
